We just spent two glorious weeks in this gorgeous villa in Prainha Village. The villa has everything you could possibly need and it's only down the road to the beautiful beach with it's fabulous newly constructed board walk which takes you right into the gorgeous village of Alvor. It was great to have the pool which we cooled down in every morning after our walk. The villa is situated in a very quiet area and we spent many a night enjoying a drink by the pool. We will definitely be back next year it is a little piece of paradise.

Very pleasant family house with 3 bedrooms with good beds for a good night rest. Close to a beautiful beach and nice restaurants. Also pleasant that the house has a swimming pool for the kids.

This villa provided an amazing holiday home for a week whilst we celebrated a family wedding and explored the local area. It is perfectly positioned, very well equipped and yet very homely. We would return without a moments hesitation. Thank you x

Our family of four had plenty of room at this villa. We enjoyed the many pools including the one in the garden as well as eating at some of the local restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommendable!!

This was our second stay in this fabulous villa, it has all you could wish for and more, and is the perfect place from which to enjoy Alvor and it’s surroundings whilst being in a lovely peaceful location. The kitchen is well equipped with all you will need including luxuries such as coffee machines and sandwich makers. New WiFi is a bonus, and the outdoor area, pool and barbecue just perfect in all weathers. Daisy is wonderful and will look after you if you have any problems. We have already booked for next year. The best hidden gem in Alvor.

This villa had everything - walking distance to the spectacularTres Irmaos beach, and more expansive Alvor beach; free access to the incredible Atlantic pool, our own private pool and great outdoor space, as well as all the comforts we needed. Having Apple TV was a nice bonus for downtime for our family. We found the town of Alvor perfect - lots of good restaurants and shops but not too crowded. We had a car and went to Ponta da Piedade and Praia da Rocha but a car was not necessary for this location. We were able to follow the directions for check in and met Paula with no issue. The welcome pack was very nice. The only things that would be nice if stocked are salt & pepper, dishwasher soap and a little extra TP but those are tiny details. We loved our stay here and hope to return!

This was a brilliant location for a family with young children. Beach, pools and a choice of restaurants all within short walking distance. Villa was very well equipped with everything needed making our stay as enjoyable and easy as possible. Hope to be back soon. Thanks very much!

We had a great time. Lovely villa and great local food. We went in September so it was nice and warm. Beach is just metres away, very clean and charming. Would highly recommend this villa. Great price, great owner and excellent service.

This is the third year that my husband and I have rented this delightful villa, this year we took our children and 9 month old grandson, which worked brilliantly. The villa is in a superb location, peaceful but easily accessible to all pools , beach and Alvor. The owners have upgraded a few things which made it even better and more comfortable ,and Paula , the new manager, was readily available if needed, very friendly and professional in greeting us and when we left. Thank you so much Tony and Jill we hope to be back in the near future.

This is the second time we have rented this lovely villa. The ideal place for a relaxing holiday. On arrival the villa was spotlessly clean and the welcome food package and Apple TV great additions. It is well equipped with everything needed. The villa is situated in a peaceful location, with easy access to outside pools if wanted, lovely restaurants, beautiful beaches and a very pleasant walk along the boardwalk to Alvor village. We highly recommend this property and will return.

Casa Barlavento in Prainha village is a wonderful villa for a family break. It is spacious, clean and modern with all that you need to enjoy your break. The garden and outside deck (and upstairs sun terrace) acts as an additional room and the pool is a gift for small children! On arrival we were met by Daisy, the housekeeper, who had provided the essentials for our first night..bread, milk, cheese, water etc and even a bottle of something sparkling! The villa is well placed at the end of the cul de sac so it is very quiet, and the beach and the Atlantic pool are but a ten minute stroll away...both gorgeous spots to spend time! We didn't need to use any of the communal facilities, as such, as Casa Barlavento had all we needed! Cannot recommend it enough - a fabulous holiday house! We loved it!

This villa was just what we expected and more, it was exceptionally clean and well kitted out for all the family, the board games were a real hit with the children and nice that they got you 'communicating' as a family, books came in handy for lots of chill time which with the fabulous pool for the kids I got lots off which was excellent. The villa is well situated near the beach, town, shop, restaurants etc but on the edge of the 'prainha village' enough to be peaceful too when needed so all in all highly recommended Villa in a beautiful place.

We had a wonderful holiday in Casa Barlavento . It really is a home away from home with wonderful facilities , wonderful location and amazing views . Situated in a lovely resort with access to the Atlantic swimming pool and beach it catered for all our needs . I cannot recommend this apartment highly enough . Thank you Jill and Tony for your hospitality.

Fanatastic stay in this very clean, Modern villa which is very well located for all the amenities within Prainha. Thanks to the housekeeper Daisy who met us with keys and had some essentials already in the fridge, which was much appreciated. Will come back for sure. Evan

The villa had everything me, my wife and the two children needed. The children enjoyed the pool and we enjoyed relaxing on the terrace. We would definitely go back again. We had great communication from the owner and found the housekeeper very helpful.

Had a lovely stay Property was fantastic: Clean, modern, and spacious. Outdoor area was lovely to relax in, having your own pool meant you didn't have to leave the property if you wanted a chilled day without venturing out. Prainha village was great. 2 mins to nearest pool and the Atlantic pool was about 10-12mins walk. Beach was only 10 mins away, with several beach front restaurant to choose from. Overall - a wonderful time was had by all the family (2 adults, 2 teenagers and one 2 year old)
