3 sitting room, 5 bedroom, 5 bathroom detached house with large private south facing, walled garden, with the option to book the beautiful 2 bed Windy Edge Cottage at the bottom of the garden in addition to raise occupancy from 10-15 people, or to simply have a quiet hideaway from the main house.
Now with exclusive membership of Beau Monde Spa and gym, in Lucker, the house was recently rebuilt to a very high standard this detached five bedroom house is located adjacent to Bamburgh Castle with fabulous sea views over the village green towards Holy Island and Bamburgh Castle. Rock Cottage, dating back to the 1800's is a beautiful stone built house that has been refurbished for modern day living (lots of bathrooms!). It is ideal for a special occasion, with space for everyone and benefits from a fabulous south facing stone walled garden. The beach is two minutes walk!

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION
Rock Cottage is in a prime location on Front Street. Just across the road is the green where you can just watch a cricket match in full swing, be it the local team or visiting children, or visit a tearoom up the road for hot chocolate and cake. Beyond the green is of course the majestic award winning beach, one of the best in Britain where you can walk along to Budle Bay or to Seahouses or simply enjoy a picnic on the beach. For the more adventurous why not try your hand at surfing or simply enjoy an exhilarating swim in the sea, or enjoy watching the world go by on the castle green.
THE FULL PACKAGE
Ideally placed a couple of minutes walk from the beach and the main hub of the village with a choice of lots of pubs and restaurants, Rock Cottage has recently been refitted and adapted for modern day living. Upstairs has four double bedrooms all with their own bathroom and have hardwood shutters and black out blinds to ensure a good nights' sleep. A fabulous south facing kitchen /diner/sitting room with BT TV, a huge atrium and floor to ceiling Solarlux bifold doors which bring views of the south facing garden straight into the house, flooding it with natural light and a cosy sitting area with Aga log burner for winter stays. The downstairs also benefits from two additional sitting rooms, both with Aga log burners and views over the village green, the castle and beyond. Sited off the kitchen is a utility room which is perfect for all the beach clobber and the dog.
A NOTE FROM THE OWNER
We are a family of five with a dog and like o spend our Holidays by the sea, in lovely locations with excellent restaurants. We have re built the house to allow it to grow with us, ensuring it has space and privacy for large groups and multi-generational families. Family is important to us so building a downstairs bedrooms bathroom was a must. We like to spend-eating outside so the garden has been designed with that in mind ensuring it is private and safe for children and the dog.
Anyone looking for a special celebration or a family occasion with parents children or grandparents or simply a stunning holiday Rock Cottage has it all . We chose Rock Cottage as it had the potential to be modelled to suit us now and in the future ( we even built a cottage at the bottom the garden which we keep for our sole use) Walking distance to the beach was essential.Walking distance to pubs and restaurants very important, The castle green in front of the house is brilliant for the dogs e kids( you can keep an eye on them from the house). The ability for everyone to have their own bedrooms anbathooms also was very important, plus the kitchen / diner is a fantastic space for entertaining and for everyone to spend time together , whilst offering the escape in the form of two other rooms.
There is no other house in Bamburgh offering 5 bedrooms and five bathrooms plus 3 sitting rooms and a large south facing stone walled garden with its own car park 100 metres from the beach. No corner has been cut with Black out blinds, hardwood shutters, Milbrook mattresses , V and B bathroom fittings and Italian tiles. We even offer bike racks.
